Expertise DescriptionI have more than 25 years experience in the field of Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering. I specialize in Structural Dynamics, Fluid Dynamics, Aero elasticity and the application of Active Materials in these areas. My expertise and research include the fields of aircraft, helicopters, hypersonic missiles, oil exploration, valves for spacecraft and automotive injection systems, health monitoring of structures, energy harvesting, sensors and actuators.

My expert witness experience includes several cases related to failures of the DS2000 an adaptive control system from Electronic Mobility; steel case; aircraft related.
My consulting services include: Buoyancy actuators for and control of underwater unmanned gliders; Developed an unsteady aerodynamics code for the aeroelastic analysis of rotor=blades; Developed a shape memory alloy trim tab for in flight adjusting of rotor blade tracking; Design, qualification, and acceptance testing of flight hardware for NASA; Verified models using flight testing and simulated helicopter dynamic flight environments through through the use of a hydraulic testbed; Structural design and analysis using all modern aircraft and helicopter materials including advanced composites; Taught advanced courses in M.I.T.'s Aeronautics and Astronautics Engineering Department.
