I have more than 25 years experience in the field of Safety Engineering with expertise in biochemistry, pathology, industrial hygiene, biological safety, and fire protection. I have additional experience with toxic use production, environmental management, and hazard control technologies in healthcare; risk assessment, and toxicology.

My expert witness experience includes mold analysis and expert testimony, driving under the influence cases, chemical exposure and pulmonary injury; general issues of environmental health and safety; Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and latex allergy.

My consulting experience includes Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations; Environmental, health, and safety consulting; training, safety manual review, health care safety, and exposure monitoring for hazardous chemicals.

My professional experience includes Independent Consultant, as well as having been a Director of Safety, Acting Director of Safety, Assistant Safety Officer, Industrial Hygienist, and Manager.


Relevant Experiences

As the director of Safety at a major hospital, I am very familiar with the requirements for the safe handling and storage of hazardous materials in all environments. I have also worked with clients in my private practice dealing with issues surrounding hazardous materials storage and handling.

I earned a Master of Science in Environmental Health and Radiation Health Physics in 1970. I also earned a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Pathology in 1979. I worked as the director of Safety at a major hospital for over twelve years. I have worked as an independent consultant specializing in environmental health, safety and toxicology since 2000.

Over the past 14 years I have worked closely with attorneys to evaluate the presence and effects of mold exposure on occupants and residents in homes and offices. I have assisted in determining the habitability of residences and whether homes or offices need remediation, repair, or more.
