Representative Litigation Experience:
- Construction defect; Specified tree species not planted, inappropriate species used. Potential damage to structures.
- Construction defect; Contractor did not use soil amendments as specified on the plans.
- Three (3) separate cases of claims resulting from the Northridge earthquake. Using the International Association of Arborists method, I set actual values on the destroyed landscapes, reducing the amount of the settlements by more than 50%.
- Drainage problems.
- Construction defects; drainage system, trees too close to buildings and chipped and cracked curbs. My report showed all charges to be false.
- A suit involving a serious auto accident. A planter had been contracted in a location where it blocked the drivers line of site. I plotted the line of site and proved this to be true.
Representative Consulting Services and/or Projects:
- Supervised the design and construction of landscapes for 25,000 residential unties as well as a dozen commercial properties, including Terra Vista Town Center, a 55 acre outdoor mall. I investigated and uncovered fraudulent billing practices by the maintenance contractor at Terra Vista Town Center. I put in place management systems to prevent any future occurrences.
- Over 100 projects completed. Including: Public parks, trail systems, 4 master planned communities, public works projects, residential, commercial and industrial development
