Expertise Description
I have been practicing exclusively neuro-ophthalmology (I am ophthalmology trained) for 35 years. I am responsible for the training of ophthalmologists in neuro-ophthalmology at a medical school, and have held key educational positions with the American Academy of Ophthalmology. I am experienced in medical-legal matters, having reviewed many forms of such cases in many states, and including malpractice, large international and product liability cases. I have done cases involving unexplained visual symptoms, traumatic optic neuropathy, and traumatic double vision, and visual field loss. I have vast experience in visual issues in multiple sclerosis, optic neuritis, pituitary tumors, and pseudotumor cerebri. I am a Past President of the North American Neuro-Ophthalmology Society. You will find that I pay meticulous attention to the records in a case, and often have found the neglected detail in the records which "makes the case". I have provided consultations, courtroom testimony, and deposition for over 25 years as a neuro-ophthalmology expert witness.Areas of Expertise
