My expertise includes accident reconstruction, motorcycle accident reconstruction, pedestrian collisions and accident reconstruction, biomedical analysis, mechanical commercial vehicle accident reconstruction, bio-mechanical analysis, tire failure analysis, mechanical commercial vehicle inspection, defect investigations, air bag download, commercial control module downloads, speed determination, crash worthiness, restraint analysis. I have over 15 years expert witness experience with consultations, deposition, and courtroom testimony.
Areas of Expertise
My expert witness experience includes: criminal and civil venues; documentation of scene evidence utilizing computer scene mapping hardware and software; conducting defect investigations for passive and active restraint systems; forensic tire and lamp examinations.
My consulting services include: conducting design analysis of curves and establishing critical speed thresholds with regards to collision causation and liability; collision reconstruction; instruction of police officers in the fundamentals of traffic collision, collision investigation and reconstruction, computer aided diagramming, occupant kinematics, seat belt analysis, air bag deployment; crash injury research.
I have been downloading and analyzing EDR (black box) technology since its inception back in the early 1990s when I worked with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
I do address human factors aspects as it pertains to accident reconstruction analysis. However, I would not consider myself an expert in this field.
