Expertise DescriptionI have more than 25 years of experience in the field of Animal Science with an emphasis in dairy science and animal nutrition. I have done research in the following areas: ruminal function and microbiology, lipid metabolism, nutritional biochemistry and physiology, feed utilization, microbial physiology, and methane production. I have taught on the nutrition of domestic animals, dairy cattle management, and advanced ruminant nutrition. I am highly knowledgeable regarding the nutritional value of feed ingredients for swine and cattle, including varying levels and mixed rations fed to cows and piglets. I was also highly involved in the management, oversight, and development of standard operations for numerous research projects at a dairy enterprise system and dairy educational unit. I have studied the manipulation of biochemical reactions to improve energetic efficiency, reduce nutrient waste, and mitigate nutrient loss to the environment. I have over 10 years of expert witness experience.
