Expertise Description
I am a skilled and knowledgeable art conservation expert witness with more than 35 years experience. My expertise is in a wide range of paper artifacts, from fine art to rare books and manuscripts, drawings, watercolors, and Asian screens and scrolls. I have additional knowledge in bookbinding. I have spent over 30 years providing consultations and deposition as an art conservation expert witness.Areas of Expertise
Relevant Experiences
My work in conservation encompasses both repair and preservation of all paper-based works (art, documents, rare books, antique maps, archival material, historic currency, etc.). We offer information regarding archival housing and storage and address the problems that arise from salvage operations. I have been directly involved in a number of projects that involved water and fire damage, and have participated in initial mitigation of disaster-affected areas (Haiti, post earthquake for example). The studio has treated numerous works that have been affected by such situations and are experienced in assessing the outcome of conservation of damaged items.
