Expertise DescriptionI have more than 20 years experience as a Toxicologist. My experience includes the study of pulmonary toxicology involving pathologies such as asthma, reactive airway disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asbestosis, mesothelioma and pulmonary fibrosis – that may be claimed following chemical, drug, or particulate exposure. I am also experienced in evaluating the toxicological profile of a variety of consumer and industrial products, chemicals, and pollutants and performing health risk assessments related to such. I perform forensic toxicology investigations in the areas of alcohol and drug intoxication and impairment as well as food adulteration and contamination cases. I have experience in analyzing and evaluating genetic and genomic markers of toxicity and susceptibility in the modern field of “Toxicogenomics”, particularly with respect to benzene. I have prior expert witness experience.
Areas of Expertise
My expert witness experience includes: exposure to variety of substance; inhalation exposure to chemicals and particulates and inhalation toxicology; drug and alcohol-related incidents and determinations of impairment.
My consulting services include: Toxicology and Mechanistic Biology, scientific and engineering consulting; Investigating toxicogenomics research on highly-regulated substances with special interest in immune system modulation; Health risk assessment for a variety of consumer and industrial products, chemicals, and pollutants; performed research toward the development of a human contraceptive vaccine targeted to the zona pellucida egg protein.
There were claims I handled in other matters as far as health risk assessment for various routes of exposure to chemicals in the drinking and municipal water supply. I would be happy to speak with the client about their case…I’d love to help. As far as there being multiple cases I have the bandwidth with my staff to handle this as well.
I can handle this from the physiological and mental effects of various drugs from a toxicology perspective. I do many of these cases.
I have lectured on “visible impairment” as it pertains to dram shop claims at national meetings. I have also testified several times in this area.
