My professional experience includes C-Level positions in five important advertising agencies.
While I am definitely an expert in retail advertising, I cannot claim specific expertise in the value of location or signage in a shopping mall other than being able to cite the obvious rule that location always matters and that signage must be clearly visible and well designed.
Over the years my retail advertising clients have included supermarkets, clothiers, department stores (including Nordstrom), gasoline stations and most relevantly jewelers that operated primarily in mall locations. These include Bailey Banks & Biddle and Zale’s. Further, many of my former non-retail clients catered to upscale consumers (as does Swarovski); these include Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar, Private Health, Steuben Glass, U.S. Trust and J.P. Morgan. My experience with those companies has provided me with great insight into how upscale consumers make purchasing decisions, etc.
