I have an additional 20 years experience practicing business law as an attorney. I have prior expert witness experience.
Areas of Expertise
My expert witness experience includes working with an elite white collar defense firm representing a client accused of criminal securities fraud, as well as assisting a prominent trial defense firm on delineating boundaries of liability within an organization.
Addressing complex liability issues among partners in a Limited Partnership;
Developing and drafting a complex corporate “books and records” request;
Representing a whistleblower before the SEC on a sophisticated allegation of market manipulation;
Articulating novel affirmative defenses in a state insider trading law case.
I have spent more than two decades working in academia and professional services. I began my professional career as a strategy consultant. I have spent time as an assistant professor, associate professor, and full professor at several universities. While continuing my work as a Professor of Law, I have also returned to client service as an attorney, consultant, and expert witness.
