Expertise DescriptionI have over 40 years experience in chemical and environmental consulting. My expertise includes: wastewater treatment, computer modeling, site remediation and cleanup, plant security, chemical process modeling, explosives, remedial investigations, ISO 14000, drinking water treatment, and plant design. I have worked on municipal and industrial projects. I have more than 20 years expert witness experience with consultations, deposition, and courtroom testimony.
Areas of Expertise
My expert witness experience includes: Remediation cleanup (international and local); Hydrologic reconstruction involving rainfall, runoff, and effects (NJ); Air pollution (VA); Explosives manufacturing (IL).
My consulting services include: All phases of environmental consulting and engineering including modeling; Civil and chemical consulting; Water and waste water design and modeling.
I have worked on water supply and environmental problems in many parts of the world. I have written a book on wastewater treatment which sold well, and I am currently revising the book for a 2nd Edition at the publisher’s request. I have worked in the Middle East where I lectured on water supply and treatment problems, and in Ecuador where I was the principal investigator for the plaintiffs in a case against a multinational energy corporation. I have been involved in issues of environmental contamination and evaluation of the effects all my professional career which now stretches over 40 years. I am qualified to conduct the evaluation and am familiar with the subjects of chlorination and dechlorination and the effects on aquatic life.
I’m familiar with asphalt and concrete plants, but am not an “expert” on either. However from my process background, I can easily bone up on the design and production elements and provide substantial and useful information for the client with regard to the capacity of the plants, and the age. I can also interpret original designs and drawings and make appropriate estimates of the production capacity of the plants from the information. I can help the client understand and evaluate what is essentially a type of case which will rely heavily upon manufacturer’s specifications and designs, and their technical information.
