I have more than 30 years of experience in the field of Chemical Engineering, as well as working with fluid dynamics, drop dynamics, finite element analysis and computational modeling/analysis, ink jet printing, high speed imaging, complex fluids, rheology, surfactants, and electric field effects. I have experience as a Professor and my research interests include the analysis of pinch-off singularities, microfluidics, dripping or leaky faucets, drop impact, pattern formation, computations, and experiments involving the development of ultra high-speed imaging tools. My research is motivated by the applications of ink jet printing, separations, production of emulsions, dispersions, and double-emulsions, and dorp-wise manufacturing. I have over 15 years of expert witness experience with consultations, deposition, and expert testimony.

My expert witness experience includes having been involved with case preparation and providing deposition in multi-disciplinary cases lying at the intersection of engineering and life sciences.

Consulting Experience

I have been and continue to be a consultant for dozens of large as well as small companies. My experience includes doing contract research, developing computer software and running simulations, and providing advice on technology development.

Professional Experiences

I have a BS and PhD in Chemical Engineering. After receiving my PhD, I worked for four years in industry. I then worked for seven years at a national laboratory. I have been in academia for the past twenty years. As a professor, I manage a large research group with projects funded by government agencies and a variety of corporations. To date, I have published over one hundred papers and hold a dozen patents. I consult extensively with large and small companies. Through my research, teaching, and consultancy, I have developed extensive experience in fluid dynamics, drop dynamics, ink jet printing, electrohydrodynamics, atomization and sprays, finite element analysis, high speed imaging, complex fluids, and surfactancy.

Relevant Experiences

I do not design ink jet heads but have decades of experience in ink jet printing. I am recognized perhaps as the lead or one of the lead academics in the field. I am the only person to date who was invited to publish a review article on ink jets through a published web source.
