My professional experience includes work in: chemical processing industries, academia, government labs and federal contracts, and private consulting and expert witness service. I have more than 15 years expert witness experience with consultations, deposition, and courtroom testimony.

My expert witness experience includes: trade secret theft, chemical processing; spontaneous combustion in residential fires; explosion / fire chemical process; chemical plant design / operation; biodiesel and bioethanol manufacture; economic consequences and financial damages; food processing contamination; injection molding machine accident; faulty residential plumbing (metals corrosion and polybutylene cracking).
My consulting services include: support of design and commercial installation of electrocoagulation cell; analysis of code written to simulate operation and control of coal stove; advised on development of adhesive foam for applications in trash can cleaning; material and energy balance calculations in support of the design and construction of a mineral processing pilot plant; consulted on self assembly phenomena; transport phenomena calculations in support of the design of radioactive aqueous scrap processing units; designed and performed economic evaluation of a 10^4 mtpy silicon plant; designed, constructed, and operated a photocatalysis reactor to quantify the reaction kinetics of the commercial bulb designed to clean the air; advised on the synthesis of tetraethyl lead and bismuth derivatives; analyzed feasibility of using a non-ideal feedstock to a glass recycling facility; developed heat transfer models of a wall mounted vent kit for boilers and water heaters.
My professional experience includes: provided technical expertise to the conceptual design of a commercial activated carbon processing facility based on lignocellulosic raw materials; 3rd party engineering reviews for two RFS2 certifications of waste vegetable oil feedstock biodiesel production facilities; operated solar distillation prototype with spiked feed of organic contaminants; advised on physical processing methods for a homemade cleaning product to eliminate phase separation of the product; provided design expertise for an ultrasonic transesterification reactor system for biodiesel conversion.
I have been procuring chemicals as part of my employment responsibilities since 1983. I have procured chemicals for production, pilot, and research needs in industries that include water treatment, but also food processing, pharmaceuticals, refrigerants, agricultural chemicals, specialty chemicals, petrochemicals, and others.
I have designed many chemical production plants and am thus very familiar with process economics across many industries. I suspect my background would be valuable in this matter.
