My extensive technology management experience focused in areas of processor design (data compression, uni processor, symmetrical, and parallel systems), operating system design, communication systems, digital audio, digital video, wireless services, signal processing, storage and retrieval, and broad application of infrastructure technologies. I have over 15 years core competence in real time communications, wireless systems, including streaming media (audio, video, web), VOD, NVOD, digital recording, video and communication protocols, digital compression (JPEG, MPEG), real time content caching, digital network distribution systems including satellite, wired, wireless, cable, telecom, IPTV and more. I have prior expert witness experience.

My consulting services include: project management, workflow automation, operational process simplification at largest service provider; managed worldwide development and marketing budgets of more the $100M; managed software development and support team of 700 engineers across 6 research laboratories.
Over the past 3 plus years, I worked for a company that was a long time recognized early patent holder of receiver stations that receive transport streams (MPEG) via broadcast, cablecast, or satellite technologies which are utilized by companies like Sony, Pace, and Arris. In fact, Sony was one of the very first licensees of their technology. At the company, I was hired as a consultant and later hired as a full-time employee (Vice President of Technology Licensing) where I assessed the field of use, and build claim charts demonstrating patent infringement by major American, Japanese, and Korean television manufacturers of receiver stations that receive multimedia transport streams and follow the ATSC standard including channel tuning, PIDs, program guides, system tables, and the overall software architecture of the receiver stations. Some of the technologies included reception of an MPEG transport stream by a receiver station and the inner major components of a receiver(including the demultiplexer, tuner, control processor, video processor, audio processor and display), software update, others encryption of transport streams, etc. My efforts also followed a similar path in the areas of set top box (receiver stations of video content) and landed licenses in both the broadcast television as well as set top box arena.
My background is a very good fit for both the engineering work to determine root causal analysis of failure, and then for expert services as well.
