Additional expertise includes Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V), Vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2I), and the hybrid Vehicle-to-Vehicle-to-Infrastructure (V2V2I) communication, distributed algorithms and software architectures for Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) applications. My other expertise includes wireless handheld point-of-sale systems for the restaurant industry. I have more than 5 years of expert witness experience with consultation and deposition.
Areas of Expertise
I have been retained as an expert witness on numerous cases involving: contracts between companies with regard to software production; complaint review, case studies, patent infringement, and sensors for intelligent vehicular operations.
I have worked with networking and the Internet for my entire career, and I am very familiar with the domain name registration system and DNS records. I worked as a consulting expert on a case involving deep linking under my Ph.D. advisor, who was the testifying expert as well.
I have provided about 15 expert declarations for IPR on another case, so I am familiar with the process. I have background experience in intelligent transportation and vehicular technologies, along with my expert witness work on a case dealing with those technologies.
I have experience with many types of software engineering, both professionally and academically. I have worked as a software salesperson and responded to numerous RFPs, both successfully and unsuccessfully. I have also completed projects for states, specifically Massachusetts and Alaska.
