Expertise DescriptionI have more than 25 years experience in the fields of marketing, brands, consumer behavior, and advertising with expertise in all types of research and have unsurpassed analytical (including statistical) skills. I have experience with conducting research and speaking authoritatively on any topic related to consumer behavior (including consumer confusion), advertising and marketing and I am particularly skilled at critiquing others’ research. I am well versed in all aspects of research. I have over 15 years expert witness experience with consultations and deposition.
Areas of Expertise
My expert witness experience includes consumer confusion regarding brand names and brand marks; trademark infringement, consumer decision making in credit card industry; credit card solicitations, content analysis of Point-of-Purchase (POP) in tobacco industry; and deceptive advertising practices in Crafts industry.
My consulting experience includes tobacco industry research, advertising claims, survey research across multiple industries, credit card solicitation and use, gardening industry research, and crafts industry research.
My professional experience includes being a Professor of Marketing, with prior experience being the Principal of a Marketing Strategy firm. Overall, I have taught advertising at the college level for 25 years and have acted as an expert witness and consultant to many companies on issues related to marketing and advertising.
I have conducted and taught survey research for 30 years and have acted as an expert witness approximately ten times as well. I also am a member of our Institutional Review Board. I have also published 100 articles in the academic literature that mostly used surveys as their data collection method.
