Expertise DescriptionI have more than 30 years experience in the field of Energy Management and Electrical Forensic Investigations. My broad experience covers distribution engineering, distribution planning engineering, national electrical safety code requirements, electrical utilities, telecommunication companies, signage requirements, signal integrity, thermal loading, voltage and reliability. I have over 10 years expert witness experience with consultations, deposition, and courtroom testimony.
Areas of Expertise
My specialty involves electrical contact with utility line cases. My background is over 30 years with Ohio Edison/FirstEnergy Corp having retired in 1998 as Director Technical Operations Support. I am familiar with the National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) which is the industry standard and have assisted in many cases of a similar nature. The prime issue in the subject case appears to be clearance between the structure’s roof and the utility line which is codified in the NESC. In my position with FirstEnergy I was responsible for joint use activities and agreements as well as distribution maintenance/inspection practices and procedures.
