Expertise DescriptionI have more than 25 years experience in the field of Environmental Services for the Healthcare Industry and Educational Facilities with expertise in technical support for the Healthcare, Education, and Gaming sectors. This support includes consulting with facilities on, resource (labor) allocation (staffing/work-loading), quality assurance audits and programs, wasted reduction and recycling programs, linen usage programs, laundry operations, linen procurement, as well as linen/laundry contracts. I have additional experience with walk-off/entrance matting programs, regulatory compliance surveys, departmental operational reviews, market analysis to determine In-House vs. Outsourcing viability and implications, employee recruitment, hiring, retention, training, new and emerging technologies, “GREEN” or “Environmentally Sustainable” Initiatives, offsite buildings, collective bargaining agreements (CBA’s), and outside cleaning contracts.

My consulting experience includes planning, design, and construction for healthcare and education; as well as staffing and resource allocation, outsourcing, sustainability of cleaning departments, and contract management.
My professional experience includes being the Director of Operations, with prior experience as Resource Manager, Director of Environmental Services, District Training Manager, and Manager of the Environmental Services Department.
I have provided managerial as well as consultative expertise in the cleaning/custodial field for many years. This expertise includes regulatory compliance, productivity and safety. Working knowledge of OSHA, CRI (Carpet & Rug Institute), LEED and other agencies regulations. I have been involved in development, implementation and maintenance of entrance matting, walk-off matting, anti-fatigue matting, OR scrub sink matting and laboratory matting programs. Have been a member of several, different facility Safety Committees. I am CHESP certified.
I have managed and operated several institutional laundries in Massachusetts and I am aware of the requirements, limitations and training components needed to run a safe and efficient laundry.
