ForensisGroup Commercial Printing Expert Witnesses work in the area of commercial printing, which is the process of taking art work and transferring that work onto an alternative surface in bulk. Commercial printing is designed to do high volume orders in short periods of time.
An image is place onto an aluminum plate, and the offset printing process is used to apply the color to the image. After the image is placed on the plate, the plate will go through a process that applies those colors onto the desired surface. Ink is poured into the image on the plate and then that is transferred to a rubber roller. This “blanket cylinder” is used to roll the image onto the desired surface.
Our commercial printing expert witnesses have many years of experience in the printing and graphic arts industry with expertise in bindery, printing presses, pressroom procedures, and sheet-fed presses. They also work in micro and photo lithography with lithographic processes, materials, and manufacturing equipment. They also work in all aspects of developing, manufacturing, marketing, and selling of commercial lithographic products. Some specialize in photoresist characterization, developing analytical and characterization procedures, formulating and evaluating electronic chemicals, photoresist ancillaries (e.g., developers, solvents, primers, removers), and surface preparation.
They assist in cases concerning process engineering, formulation and evaluation of microelectronic products, and lithography.
