Alternative Energy Expert 436814 AL

Expertise Description

First in the arena of industrial research and then as a university professor, I have spent more than 35 years pursuing the challenges of alternative forms of energy for transportation and electrical power. Some recent examples of my research are: the development of direct electromagnetic conversion of light energy into DC electrical power, the production and use of hydrogen as an alternative energy carrier, and the design of an electronic DC/DC converter for implementation in a vehicle application. Throughout my career I have consistently applied my skills to solving the practical problems caused by the contemporary sources of energy used for transportation and electric power generation. My combination of industrial research experience and academic background has given me a sharp analytical approach tempered with an understanding of the economic constraints of the existing infrastructure.
