Expertise DescriptionI have over 30 years experience as an Aeronautical / Mechanical Engineer specializing in fire physics, thermodynamics, combustion, and heat / mass transfer. My expertise includes: micro-gravity combustion; micro-combustion power generation; meso- and micro-scale combustion; self-heating, pyrolysis, and self-ignition of combustible materials; liquid fuel pool burning; smoldering and transition to flaming; ignition / fire propagation in solid and liquid fuels; wild-land fire propagation; and wild-land fire spotting through burning particles and embers. I have additional experience in explosions and accidental fires in vehicles, aircraft, commercial fires, wild land fire, residential / commercial buildings, and petro-chemical plants. I have more than 25 years expert witness experience with consultations, deposition, and courtroom testimony.
