My background of over 25 years in the field of Food Safety has been focused on the regulatory, foodservice, and manufacturing sectors. As a food safety expert witness, I also have experience in nutrition and well being, regulatory compliance, business strategy, and consumer surveys. I am well-versed in HACCP, food quality, nutrition, FDA, food processing, food service, sanitation, restaurants, grocery, dietitian, and food technology. I have provided courtroom testimony, deposition, and consultations as a food safety expert witness.

My professional experience includes senior leadership experience in multiple Fortune 200 businesses and being Chief Executive Officer for a bakery manufacturing business, leading a safety, production, and quality turnaround. I also have extensive experience with Federal and state regulatory policies delivering regulatory compliance and food safety. My experience includes organizing and managing Quality teams with more than 35 professionals in the manufacturing and food service industries and leading the vision for Quality, Food Safety and Nutrition strategies for a multinational business with sales in excess of $60B.

Relevant Experiences

I can discuss how glass becomes an issue in food manufacturing and in food service settings and how consumers can be injured. I am also able to discuss FDA’s recall procedures and activities, and how they work with TTB in matters that include alcoholic beverages.  I am qualified as an expert if FDA recall matters.

I understand standards of practice for the retail industry for maintaining food safety and to protect employee health from contaminants. I have understanding of pathogenic bacteria and viruses. My credentials in cases regarding safety issues is unimpeachable.

I am an experienced and credentialed food scientist. I would be able to obtain information regarding speciation of the canned fish item and document the opinion for this case. I have worked on several cases in the past that involve food forensics, and have good success in depositions supporting my opinions.

I am a former senior official in the US Department of Agriculture’s agency that performs meat inspection. I am well familiar with the laws and regulations in place for a meat manufacturing facility and the type of equipment used for meat processing. I am also well experienced in quality procedures for meat processing establishments and standards of practice for the meat industry. My credentials and experience are unassailable. The meat should be examined by a food forensics laboratory with oversight of an expert capable of opining based on her experience and the data determined by an official third party laboratory. I am completely capable and willing to serve as this expert.
