I have over 25 years experience as a hydrogeologist and geologist. My expertise includes: civil engineering; coastal erosion; engineering geology; environmental engineering standards-of-care; flood hydrology; groundwater / surface water assessment / development / litigation, management / protection; hydrocollapses; landslide evaluation (groundwater / seepage source determinations); seismic risk evaluation; sewer-line failure and resulting groundwater contamination; water pipelines; water resources development / remediation; water rights; watersheds / runoff issues; and wells (wellfields, wellheads). I have prior expert witness experience with consultations, deposition, and courtroom testimony.

My consulting services include management of technical operations & business development for all water resources development & remediation, seismic risk evaluation, and engineering geologic services, as well as applied environmental services. My numerous hydrogeologic projects include large residential development; seepage and groundwater source investigation; hydrologic investigation for hydrocollapse of fill slopes; natural spring water supply feasibility; basin evaluations.

Relevant Experiences

My professional and litigation support experience span both hydrology and geology expertise.  

I have served as an expert witness several times concerning slope erosion, hydrology and debris-flow matters. I provided trial testimony and field investigations as a primary defense expert for the State of California concerning a large, fatal forest fire. I have served as expert, including trial testimony, on multiple cases involving storm runoff, slope erosion and debris flow damages. My colleagues and I have provided debris-flow hazard assessment and engineering mitigation services to the US Forest Service in several wildfire-impacted areas within California and Arizona.
