The consulting services include: Investigation of accidents involving fork lifts, man lifts, and scissor lifts; Investigation of accidents involving industrial/manufacturing machinery; Investigation of trucking accidents; Investigation of crane accidents; Investigation of conveyer accidents; Investigation of heavy machinery accidents; Examination of machinery that was involved in an accident to determine possible cause; Writing reports of findings.
I am a registered professional mechanical engineer as well as a registered professional industrial engineer. I have over 8 years of experience working in the shipbuilding industry at a major national company, where I worked on a project to develop safe practices when using hand held grinders. I have designed and built ship's doors and hatches. I am familiar with the design and operation of pressure vessels.
I am familiar with CALOSHA regulations. I have been working in industrial environments for more than 40 years. I have had many cases that involve CALOSHA regulations. I have also performed inspections of various facilities to determine if there are any CALOSHA violations.
I have many over 45 years of manufacturing experience. As a Registered Professional Engineer I am familiar with the manufacturing processes that are necessary to produce metal baskets that are used in the deep frying. These processes include: cutting, shearing, forming, warping, spot welding, welding, etc. I am also experienced in quality assurance and quality control.
I am familiar with Maquiladora operations.
I am familiar with the use of small cans of refrigerant. I should be able to determine the cause of failure.
I have worked with pressure vessels for many years. I am also a member of the ASME, American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
I have worked on many cases involving man lifts. I am familiar with the design, maintenance, safety features and safe operation of these machines. I have inspected many of these types of machines.
I have experience with stacker cranes at National Steel and Shipbuilding. I have experience with the design and maintenance of large gantry canes, stacker cranes, stacker cranes with magnetic beams and overhead bridge cranes.
As a Registered Professional Mechanical Engineer in California, I have experience in designing heavy material handling equipment.
As a Registered Professional Industrial Engineer in California, I have experience in the operational requirements of heavy material handling equipment.
I have spent most of my professional life as a Design Engineer.
As a Registered Professional Industrial Engineer in California I have years of sheet metal manufacturing experience. I have a complete understanding of the manufacturing of sheet metal parts. This includes: shearing, brake forming, forming, straightening, expanding, welding, punching, drilling, polishing, painting and powder coating.
I have worked in aerospace sheet metal manufacturing at Ametek / Straza. General sheet metal products at National Steel and Shipbuilding. As a consultant I have designed a manufacturing facility that produced architectural cover panels.
I understand the manufacturing tolerances as they relate to actually fitting or not fitting when the parts are to be installed. If the panels are out of tolerance they will not fit properly and could cause schedule delays and additional wasted labor costs.
I also understand what manufacturing processes are necessary to produce close tolerance products.
I am very knowledgeable of quality control procedures and how a lack of a good quality control department will allow defective products to be shipped out of the plant to the customer. I am also an expert in Critical Path Scheduling.
I have worked around trucks and forklifts for years.
As a Registered Professional Industrial Engineer, I have designed many warehouses, including warehouses that store cardboard. I am familiar with warehouse operating methods and procedures. I am knowledgeable of how cardboard is normally stored in warehouses.
