Areas of Expertise
I worked for the US Department of Labor for four decades as an investigator and manager. I personally developed many litigation cases, over 80 in my career, and provided expert testimony in over a dozen of these cases. Most of my litigation cases were resolved prior to trial due to my expert development. As manager, I also supervised the development and successful litigation of over 150 litigation cases.
I was deposed for at least 25 of the cases I developed as an investigator and participated, as part of the government’s litigation team, in numerous (well over 100) depositions of both plaintive and defense individuals.
As a private consultant, for the past four years, I have participated in five cases as an expert witness and consultant. Utilizing my expert negotiation skills and experience I have been able to guide my clients and adversaries to a successful resolution of each matter.
I developed one of the major healthcare service employment cases for the US Department of Labor, which is used as the standard in determining the principles of the independent contractor issue.
I presented the government’s case, through my testimony, and stood up well to the cross-examination, as indicated by the successful decision the US Department of Labor received.
