Expertise Description

My career has spanned more than 35 years in the field of Maritime Engineering with a particular focus in naval engineering, system engineering, quality assessment, and ship design support. I have additional experience in providing highly technical electrical distribution systems for Navy nuclear submarines and other US Navy ships. I have prior experience working as a maritime engineering expert witness in Virginia and have provided clients with consultations and deposition.

I have provided Expert Witness declarations on seven cases related to shipboard specifications and design. I have also provided Expert Witness declarations and depositions regarding shipyards, cruise ship design, and recreation water craft design


Consulting Experience

My consulting experience includes performing as the U.S. Navy’s primary consultant for drydocking and heavylift ship operations.


Relevant Experiences

I was previously Director of Surface Ship Design of the U.S. Navy and Supervisor of Shipbuilding at Bath, Maine during my over 25 year Naval Career. I, and my company, have done major safety and quality reviews at shipyards. I am a professional engineer in three states. I have a Master of Science in Naval Architecture and a Naval Engineer Degree. I have been involved in over 20 expert witness cases.
