My experience includes incident investigations and assessments for industrial, commercial, and domestic applications. I am highly knowledgeable in chemical material analysis; air emissions; chemical and material forensics; petrochemical characterization; unknown material identification; failure analysis plastic metal; incident root cause; chemical material interactions; mechanical testing materials; failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA); soil, water, gas, testing, and analysis; chemical handling; chemical safety and exposure; EPA, OSHA, and federal standards. My additional experience consists of automobile fuel tank skid plate material, plastic bilge pump failure investigation, street paint pressure vessels, tiki torch burn injuries, carbon monoxide exposure, and industrial metal plating substances. My applications and experience includes plastics, metal alloys, composites, fuels, lubricants, compressed gases, dusts, emissions and all variety of chemicals. I have more than 15 years expert witness experience with consultations, deposition, and courtroom testimony.

My expert witness experience includes: Liquid Nitrogen injury during manufacturing operation – Demonstrated process link to LN2 exposure and nature of hazards; Exposure to dust from paper copy operation and equipment; Chemical exposure industrial chemicals – Sub-standard health and safety practices and material handling processes; Analyzed soiled clothing to identify source and cause of gas station Slip and Fall incident – Motor Oil versus Diesel Fuel characterized; Incident reconstruction and validation of pressure vessel explosion due to welding and flammable chemical vapor residue; Carpet adhesive fumes/emissions during carpet installation – Chemical characterization and exposure analysis; Nitrogen asphyxiation due to faulty equipment and process controls at major household products manufacturing supplier – Process assessment; Failure Analysis of plastic chair failure and injury – Demonstrated preexisting crack in chair and manufactured material conditions.
My consulting services include: Naval Weapons Depot lead soil contamination – Analysis and Characterization to determine unique source and material for superfund analysis; Electrical Power Plant smoke tack emissions analysis.
I have worked for over 25 years as a chemical and metallurgical engineering specialist at a major aerospace propulsion manufacturer. I have extensive experience dealing with fuels and all sorts of combustible materials. I have a PhD in Chemistry and currently teach Chemistry at the college level.
