Expertise DescriptionI have more than 20 years experience in the area of materials and corrosion evaluation. I provide innovative solutions to problems related to deterioration and premature signs of distress of concrete, steel, and alloy structures by using non-destructive and test procedures. I specialize in identifying such factors as materials, environments, and compatibility that contribute to the service lives of various structures, including pre-stressed and post-tensioned bridges, cable stay bridges, reinforced bridge decks and substructures, parking garages, tunnels, large aquarium tanks, marine structures, underground pressurized steel and concrete pipelines, communication tower footings, buildings, components within buildings, waste water reactors, and an aluminum speed boat. I have over 10 years expert witness experience.

My consulting services include: Instructor of NACe International Liberty Bell Corrosion Course; Assists clients worldwide and works with manufacturers of cement, alloys, metals, and other corrosion resistant materials to evaluate and / or improve performances of new products and systems; Research in identifying failure mechanisms of various metallic and non-metallic materials, evaluating the performances of epoxy coated metals, and developing life cycle cost analysis.; Locates and quantifies defects, location of defects, and how defects may affect the performance of a structure; Field demonstrations, in-house training sessions, and training manuals; Designed numerous cathodic protection systems.
