Expertise DescriptionI have more than 30 years experience in the theoretical analysis and design of electrical and mechanical systems. My expertise includes design and analysis support for numerous systems associated with power supplies and associated electronic control systems based on Microprocessor, Digital Signal Processing (DSP), and Application-Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) applications. My last 20 years of consultations included the reliability of three generations of heart pumps in the Medical Field, use of a CO2 laser, and provision of recommendations for various designs. I specialize in reliability studies, thermal analysis, performance and verification testing, mechanical stress and dynamic analysis, and mechanical reliability. I am experienced in developing phase lock loop analysis. I have over 20 years expert witness experience with consultations, deposition, and courtroom testimony.

My consulting experience includes Performance of reliability analysis on electrical and electro-mechanical systems, including reliability predications of electronic control systems of Nuclear Power Plants, DSP circuit boards for optical recognition systems, and military and commercial systems; Development of test procedures and qualification testing; Teaching of seminars throughout the country.
I have a background in guns and mechanical devices. I helped design and develop the a gatling gun for the an aircraft. I worked on the design of companion rounds for an army tank and I worked on one other tank gun design. I am a registered Civil and Electrical engineer my first degree is in Mechanical Engineering. I am a gun owner of more than 10 guns.

My work has been with traffic light controllers. Primarily preforming failure modes and effects of the computer based on the following:
1. Failures in the electronics throughout the system
2. Failures or bugs in the software
3. Interrupts or timeouts of the microprocessor or watchdog time
4. Command interrupts from external devices (emergency vehicles or computer directed)
5. Many other faults such as timing and race conditions, sensor faults and faults indicators or signals.
