Expertise DescriptionI have more than 15 years experience in occupational safety. My expertise includes: scaffolds and ladders; occupational law; cranes and rigging; fork lifts; machine guarding; trenching and excavation; construction safety; safety compliance; employee safety; program assessment; OSHA & ANSI; NYS labor laws; and NYS building codes. I have additional expertise in fall protection, compliance assessments, risk management audits, and process evaluations. I have over 10 years expert witness experience.

My expert witness experience includes: NYS Labor Law 241(6); NYS Labor Law 240(1); Crane Collapse and Overloading; Freight Elevator Collapse; Falls from scaffolds, ladders, roofs, and other working platforms.
My consulting services include developing Safety, Health, and Risk Management Programs for Construction, Manufacturing, Colleges, Universities, Oil, and Gas.
Provided training on fall protection systems, specifically to equipment such as vertical lifelines, retractable lifelines, and others. I have done this for over 13 years and teach a 3-day course on fall protection for the OSHA Education Centers.
I have written a number of fall protection plans for a variety of industries including but not limited to, pre-cast concrete erection, roofing work, mechanical contractor, electrical contractors, bridge work, railroad bridge work and others.
I have served as an expert on fall protection in many court proceedings including falls from steel, roofs, aerial lifts, sandblast pots, supported scaffolds, suspended scaffolds and ladders.
I have defended numerous contractors who have been cited by OSHA for fall protection and spent the day, today in an ALJ hearing for a roofing contractor who was issued $160,000 in penalties for fall protection. This is why I was unable to take your phone call. Other OSHA cases have involved fall protection on rail cars, roofs, elevated platforms and others.
I have developed and delivered fall protection specific lectures for various groups including the local Home Builders Association, NYS Lumberman’s Trust, SUNY’s Environmental Safety and Health Association all dealing with fall exposures and corrective measure for fall exposures specific and unique to their industries.
I have worked on other forklift cases, and have operated and trained on a wide variety of lifts for a variety of manufacturers.
I have done other stairway cases in regards to NYS building codes. This has included tread and riser measurements, handrail and stairwell requirements and measurements, and lighting requirements and measurements.
