Expertise DescriptionI have more than 40 years experience in the field of Pediatrics with expertise in Child Development. I have served as an infant expert with regard to national guidelines for preventative child health, and have reviewed and served on the editorial boards for publications concerning developmental and behavioral pediatrics, pediatric therapeutics, teratology, child neurology, and neurobehavioral toxicology. I have experience with parenting and substance abuse, preterm births, pediatric preventive services, PTSD, and public health. I have over 20 years expert witness experience.
Areas of Expertise
My career for the past forty years has focused on clinical care, teaching and research in Pediatrics with a special emphasis and expertise on child development and the factors, that promote or undercut it. Specific factors include stress, violence poverty, maternal depression and trauma. food and housing insecurity, prematurity, lead poisoning, etc . I have developed and implemented many interventions to address these and other factors in order to attenuate their negative impact of these factors My expertise on these and related topics is found in over 250 publications. I have lectured on such topics throughout the US and Globally, and have received numerous awards.
