Expertise DescriptionI have more than 20 years in the field of Pediatrics with expertise in in neonatology and perinatal medicine. My clinical interests and expertise include respiratory failure of the newborn; persistent pulmonary hypertension and ECMO; pediatric issues; antibiotics treatment; standard of care in relation to the treatment of antibiotics, including Ceclor; potential complication resulting from the use of pediatric prescription drugs, such as Stephens Johnsons Syndrome. My research interests include cardiopulmonary adaptation of critically ill neonates, neonatal care, and infants, as well as outcomes research and quality of care benchmarking. I have more than 10 years expert witness experience.
Areas of Expertise
My consulting experience includes research in epidemiology of neonatal diseases and outcomes, as well as being principal investigator and co-investigator of numerous research projects, including congenital diaphragmatic hernia in California.
My professional experience includes an academic appointment as Professor of Clinical Pediatrics, as well as having been Clinical Instructor of Pediatrics.
