Expertise DescriptionI have over 30 years experience as a biologist with entomology, insects and pest control issues. My areas of expertise include insect pest management, pest control operator, chemical and other insect control technology. I have additional experience in beekeeping and honeybee/bee sting cases. I have more than 10 years expert witness experience.

My expert witness experience includes: Powderpost beetle infestation of wood panels, flooring; Structural damage of personal residence / condos by wood-boring beetles; Stored product infestation by Idianmeal Moth; Bee sting injury evaluation; Pesticide injury (methyl bromide fumigant).
My consulting services include: Structural insect damage by wood-boring beetles; Bee sting investigations; Insect infestation of residences, food, lumber, etc.
My professional experience includes decades of teaching Entomology, Pest Management, and Apiculture at the university level.
I have many years of experience related to honey bees, beekeeping, bee removal from structures, and related activities. I taught Beekeeping at a State University and supervised enterprise projects with up to 100 colonies for honey production and crop pollination. I was active with the Western Apicultural Society, serving as the society Vice-President and President. In the last several years I have returned to teaching about honey bees on a part-time basis. I hold B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in biology/entomology. Finally, I have successfully served as an expert witness on several bee sting cases.
