I have a B.S. in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering from Pennsylvania State University, along with a Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law. I have more than 40 years’ experience in the petroleum and natural gas industries with expertise in wells, drilling rigs, oilfield engineering, safety programs, and industry standards and practice - onshore and offshore. My additional knowledge of production management includes construction, reservoirs, natural gas, welding, pipelines, and oilfield equipment. I have over 30 years of expert witness experience with consultations, deposition, and courtroom testimony in federal, state and international courts.

My professional experience includes Owner and Operator of drilling rigs, as well as a Safety and Petroleum Consultant, and a Member of a Welding and Maintenance company.

Relevant Experiences

I own and operate drilling rigs, and have designed, planned, supervised, and drilled 2,000+ wells as to casing depth, water issues, etc.

I have OSHA experience (trained as instructor) and crane experience (owned and operated cranes in various environments).

I have 40+ years of experience working on well service rigs, with fishing jobs, using weight indicators, etc.  I am familiar with and regularly use API standards for design, inspection, etc. of well service rigs, masts, etc.  I am a member of the ANSI Z49.1 safety committee for welding and metallurgical related issues.  I design and fabricate rig equipment, and currently own and operate two rigs, both of which have weight indicators, etc.  I own and operate 150 wells in Texas; and have drilled, completed, and worked on 100+ new wells the last 10 +/- years in North Central Texas.
Transfer of fluids/hydrocarbons to tank truck:  I have worked on similar situations for 40+ years.  Experience with applicable standards such as API 2219 and similar.  Owned and operated such trucks/tanks.  Currently working on approximately 5 similar cases—-all for Plaintiff.
To add—Have worked with tanks and trucks in California, have testified in California courts (state and federal).
I have over 40 years of experience in the oil and gas and pipeline industry, and specifically in the safety management field and profession as it relates to pipeline operations, regulations, supervision, training, documentation,  manuals, and related operations and procedures.  I have worked as an engineer performing and supervising the design, planning, monitoring, installation, operation, and maintenance of pipelines.
I have experience with pipeline fabrication and welding, and work with rights-of-way and siting issues.
I have worked in the oil and gas and pipeline industries at a number of geographical locations, including in Ohio.  I am familiar with normal, customary and usual industry practices and with industry standards.  

I am a landowner and have and have had pipelines and related surface equipment on my land.   This experience has involved issues of simultaneous and varied land uses and responsibilities.
I have a working knowledge of and expertise in the laws, rules, and regulations applicable to the subject facilities, operation, and procedure.  I am also familiar with pipeline issues, supervision issues, and safety requirements in the industry as related to construction and maintenance.
I have worked on litigation as an expert witness and consultant for about 35 years with a good record of success.  I explain things very well to the jury as to industry and safety issues and history.

For 15 years I was a city consulting safety official in Texas to work with pipeline and plant permits, negotiate permit requirements with pipeline and facility operators, and make recommendations to City Council.

I work frequently with procedures to isolate, bleed of, purge, and make pipelines and other equipment safe and who is responsible to achieve that for welding or hot work.

I have worked in Michigan in the oilfield, on pipelines, and for litigation.

I have been involved with the design, selection, and use of pipe for about 40 years. I have worked on economics and marketing and suitability for use, etc. of such materials, and have worked recently on casing involving oilfield pricing and markets during oil price changes.

I have experience in the sand and gravel business and mineral evaluations; including on several condemnation cases. I do in-situ and various other valuations in the mineral, sand and gravel, and oil and gas businesses for values of material in the ground.
