I have more than 40 years experience in the field of Physical Therapy, Physical Education, and Athletic Training. My experience includes fitness, rehabilitation, athletic training, sports physical therapy, strength and conditioning, and kinesiology. My other consultation experience consists of track & field at the Olympic level; synchronized swimming at worldwide championships; national basketball; and implementation of sports medicine overseas. I am highly knowledgeable in topics of extreme flexibility; sports-related injuries; neuromuscular training; plyometric training; human kinetics; rest and regeneration; prevention of ACL injuries; and functions of other sports’ training techniques. I am professionally certified in the areas of speed, agility, and conditioning; fitness instruction; physical therapy; and as a personal trainer. Expert Witness
My expert witness experience includes the use and misuse of exercise equipment, quantitative and qualitative assessment of rehabilitation/training program design, appropriateness of exercise selection and instruction for fitness participants, appropriateness of exercise selection and instruction for particular athletes, scope of practice issues in Physical Therapy, scope of practice issues in Athletic Training.
Consulting Experience
My consulting services include performance consulting, consultant to Fitness TV/Radio personality, consultant to U.S. Olympic Bobsled teams, consultant to Olympic Synchronized Swim Teams.
Relevant Experiences
I have been a Physical Therapist for 45 years and in private practice for over 38 years. I have seen many cases of spinal injuries secondary to motor vehicle accident cases and feel competent to make a decision on the number of treatments that are customarily necessary to return a patient to normal activities of daily living.
I have been coaching Track & Field, particularly the high, long and triple jump since 1972. I have a background in biomechanics and have lectured on long jump technique several times over the years. I coached 43 Division II NCAA All-Americans in those three events over my coaching career.
I am familiar with the process of 504 plans as I have dealt with several patients who are involved in such plans at their schools.
