Areas of Expertise

Relevant Experiences

I have trained in pediatrics and neonatology at a distinguished university. I have expertise in newborn care, quality of maternal and neonatal care, and newborn outcomes. As a clinician, I routinely manage the care of newborns at the time of birth in the delivery room and in the neonatal intensive care unit. I am the Director of Research at an organization concerned with improving the quality of newborn care across the state of California. This organization links to data across the hospital stay and to longer-term developmental outcomes.

I believe that I could potentially help with this case as a neonatologist who cares for babies with hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy. I was the senior author of a research paper on the use of hypothermia to treat hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy in California.
