My expertise includes: psychiatric and psychological evidence; competency to stand trial; mental health and disability laws; healthcare litigation / risk management; forensic medicine; forensic psychiatry; clinical ethics, medical decision making, and the law; informed consent; neuropsychiatric evaluation of disability / diminished capacity; medical malpractice; post traumatic stress disorder (P.T.S.D.); managed care; and addictions. I have more than 30 years expert witness experience with consultations, deposition, and courtroom testimony.

As faculty and in my private practice, I continue to teach and continue to consult regularly to both P/D and to clinicians regarding the assessment of dangerousness and mental health in institutional contexts.
A long-standing forensic area of special interest on mine includes misattributed accusations and malingered damages in the context of so-called repressed memory claims. In addition to my clinical & forensic psychiatric practice, I teach for institutions such as the DOJ in the area of IME methods for detection of misattribution & malingering.
