Expertise DescriptionI have more than 15 years in the field of Engineering. My expertise includes mechatronics, robotics, automated control systems and automation, mechanical design, vibration, mechanism design, machine design, and product development and integration. I have additional knowledge in mobile robotics for military and police applications, human robotic interaction, microprocessor-based applications, and computer aided design (CAD). I have prior expert witness experience with consultations, deposition, and courtroom testimony.

My consulting services include: Patent prosecution with the USPTO and patent examinations; Consulted with engineering companies on Development of Mobile robot technology for military, defense, and security use; Consulted engineering companies on design and development of mechanical, mechatronics, and robotic systems, manufacturing, automations systems, control systems, etc.
I hold a Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering, and am an experienced mechanical patent expert. I am a tenured Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at a university.
While I do not have specific experience with parking meters, I have over 20 years of combined industrial and academic experience in various electromechanical products design, testing, prototyping, developing, machine/mechanism design, synthesis, analysis, manufacturing and integration, and industrial experience working for General Electric Medical Systems and other companies in product development. In particular, I not only have a grasp of the mechanical aspects of electromechanical devices, but also have competencies with the electrical and software aspects of various devices, including experience with source code. At General Electric I designed and integrated various devices and related electronic components including measurement/metering devices used in conjunction with the development of PET, CT and MRI machines. I also teach courses in electro-mechanics, mechatronics, and robotics that involve the life cycle treatment (conception to completion) of design, including mechanical design, electrical design and coding/software development. I’ve authored over 90 peer-reviewed articles in the field of engineering design and various electromechanical devices. Have prior expert experience, written expert reports, and testified in depositions, IPR and ITC proceedings related to patent infringement cases and validity issues. Most recently I worked on an ITC case for Stryker Medical where I’ve written expert reports, declarations and provided depositions. I am the named inventor on at least eleven U.S. patents and patent applications and a Canadian patent directed to various electromechanical devices.
