Scissors Lifts And Excavators Expert 27115 CA(N)

Expertise Description

I have more than 15 years experience in mechanical engineering with a focus on design and failure analysis (failure of bolts and bolted connections to dynamic stability of scissors lifts and excavators to mechanical failure of hydraulic system components to mechanical behavior of industrial equipment), engineering research (detailed studies of the flange stress response, creep behavior of longitudinally welded pipes at high temperature, design of structural supports for a cryogenic superconducting MRI machine, design review of medical implants, dynamic analysis of multistory manufacturing facilities, and frequency analysis of silicon wafer fabrication components), Finite Element Analysis (simple two dimensional linear elastic analysis of pressure vessels to complete three dimensional nonlinear analysis of a bolted engine connecting rod and full contact dynamic analyses of crane clutch components), Accident Reconstruction and Crash worthiness, and Mechanical Testing. I have extensive experience in industrial equipment injuries and failures, including fans and other rotating machinery. I have over 10 years expert witness experience with consultations, deposition, and courtroom testimony.

Areas of Expertise

Relevant Experiences

I have worked on numerous chair cases, have over 20 years of experience and a PhD in mechanical engineering.

I have done helicopter lift and rotor wash analyses in two prior cases.

I have done numerous amusement rides and trains, as well as looking at slip and fall aspects of walking.

I have worked on numerous conveyor system cases and box cases as well.

I have lots of experience with cranes and hosts. I have seen many boat hoists in action and have sailed and maintained boats. I have worked on numerous patent cases.

I have worked on a number of patent cases and was a coauthor on a couple of 3D scanning patents.

I have done many ride cases including a zipline case assessing dynamics.

I have worked on numerous heavy truck cases but not directly as a designer for a heavy truck company. I have worked on projects for representatives of heavy truck component manufactures.

We have worked on numerous vehicle fires and big truck cases (although I am not sure if any of the big truck cases have been fires).

I have worked on many reconstruction cases involving motorcycles, scooters, and bicycles.
