I have over 25 years experience in Safety & Accessibility with expertise in personal injury, slips and falls, premises liability, construction/industrial safety, OSHA compliance, accessibility compliance, human factors, and ergonomics. I have more than 25 years expert witness experience with consultations, deposition, and courtroom testimony.

I have worked on several skating accidents and am aware that the Roller Skating Association International has a maintenance program for roller skates that is available to rink operators. I have also had several warehouse cases over the years. There are many safety guidelines and best practices available regarding warehouse safety.

I have worked on several cases involving injuries suffered as a result of merchandise falling on them.

I have worked on many cases involving playground injuries, some of which involved swings. Some of the cases have gone to trial.

I have done research on trampoline parks, specifically as to safety issues.

I have had many parking lot trip/slip and fall cases.

I’ve worked on many cases involving stairways, code compliance, and lighting issues.

I am a certified XL tribometerist. I use the English XL Variable Incident Tribometer to perform slip resistance measurements (formally called coefficient of friction). I have worked on many cases involving the application of building and ADA codes and guidelines, as well as performing slip resistance measurements.

The principles of safety most definitely apply to ice skating rinks.

I have had several cases involving retail merchandise and display-related accidents.

I have worked on several doorcases. I have also worked on several child care facility cases that didn’t involve playground equipment specifically.

I have had several warehouse cases over the years. There are many safety guidelines and best practices available regarding warehouse safety.

For the hundreds of slip and fall cases I’ve worked on, I have the English XL Tribometer slip tester and am certified to use it.

I am knowledgeable of the basic fundamental principles of safety, including barriers, training, protective equipment, and warnings, as well as principles of human factors involving perception, among other issues.
