Expertise DescriptionMy career has spanned over 25 years in the Social Work system with expertise in advocating for abused and neglected children in Court and in the community; acting in the capacity of a troubleshooter; making recommendations to the Court; providing case management services to families with a history of sexual abuse, physical abuse and/or severe neglect; foster care services; adoption services; and child protection services. My prior expert witness experience includes providing consultations and courtroom testimony.

My professional experience includes training and supervising both staff and volunteers who advocate for abused and neglected children in Court and in the community; acting in the capacity of a troubleshooter; making recommendations to the Court; meeting with community stakeholders and politicians; and writing and editing court reports.
I have 25 years of working within the child welfare system in various capacities to include the DCFS (Department of Children and Family Services), CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) and an FFA (foster family agency). In my current employment, I consult with attorneys as to my analysis of Dependency Court cases and my recommendations. I am also an Adjunct Professor and teach Social Work.
