Expertise DescriptionI have over 30 years experience as a statistician in the development of quantitative models for estimating and managing interest rate and credit risk. My areas of expertise include financial modeling, statistical modeling, mathematics, statistics, computers, operations research, physics, and numerical analysis.
Areas of Expertise
My expert witness experience includes racial discrimination cases, damages due to lead leaching, product defects, fraud claims involving medical services, and all cases involved statistical modeling.
My consulting services include the valuation of financial instruments.
My skills as a researcher and statistician are unsurpassed. I have worked on high profile cases for Freshfields, Bruckhaus, Deringer, Lord, Bissell, and Brook, other cases involving Simmons – Attorneys at Law and a consumer confusion case for the international law firm of Winston and Strawn. Approximately two years ago I finished an expert witness assignment for Pepper Hamilton LLP. I conducted a consumer survey for this project and received glowing praise for my work. More recently I have worked on several cases regarding different aspects of consumer behavior. One past case that appears particularly relevant focused on the efficacy of point-of-purchase displays in selling cigarettes to minors. I wrote an expert witness report on the subject. Additionally, I teach advertising, consumer behavior, and marketing research at the undergraduate and graduate levels. As a consultant with over 25+ years of experience, I have conducted every type of research (e.g., surveys, focus groups, experiments, depth interviews, literature searches, etc.) imaginable and am particularly well-versed in spotting flaws in others’ research.
