Areas of Expertise

Professional Experiences

My professional experience includes developing a line of switched Ethernet rings as a supplement to the “Energy Efficient Ethernet” standard IEEE802.3az. I helped launch the IEEE 802.3ah standards WG for Ethernet in the First mile to support a company’s development of an Ethernet PON product line. I have worked as the global marketing manager for the Ethernet, FDDI and Token Ring features on an ATM switch. I founded the very first fiber optic Ethernet company in 1983, while the standard was still being formed. I am often called to present highly technical information to executive level audience, sales force and marketing areas. I have also presented at many trade shows and conferences.
