Expertise DescriptionI have more than 50 years experience in the field of Toxicology with expertise in pharmacological and biochemical medicine. I have experience with cause-and-effect relationships, as well as, medical malpractice (prescribing errors), pharmaceutical product liability, drugs of abuse, chemical exposures and consumer product exposures and liability. I have over 20 years expert witness experience with consultations, deposition, and courtroom testimony.

My expert witness experience includes confidential reports for clients and companies covering toxicological cause-and-effect relationships, adverse pharmaceutical events, effects of illicit drug use, human health risk assessments, hazard evaluations, environmental assessments, R&D analyses, and economic impact analyses.

My professional experience includes being President of a company which provides toxicological, pharmacological, biochemical and medical expertise. I have prior experience as an Instructor of the fundamental concepts of toxicology for drug discovery, as well as Faculty, Manager of Health Sciences, Chief Toxicologist, Staff Scientist, and Instructor.
As a toxicologist I specialize in causation. I have served as a product development consultant for NDIs (New Dietary Ingredient) for two conditioning/muscle building supplements.I have written book reviews on materials that are used in the practice of homeopathic medicine. I am qualified to review laboratory results to determine it there is a causal relationship between metal exposures and any adverse health effects.I have served as expert on many cases involving abuse of opioids, as well as other drugs, that affect psychomotor and cognitive functions. Also, some of the opioid cases involve therapeutic use and accidental overdoses.
Also, I have written several of my own patents and I have, as a consultant to an engineering firm that conducted M&A due diligence for large New York-based investment banking firms, assessed biology-related technologies. Consequently, I am familiar with the process of this type of due diligence.
I have served as a consultant to several companies what were developing dietary supplements. In addition, I have published (International Journal of Toxicology) book reviews and have reviewed manuscripts that were submitted for publication in which the subject matter was dietary supplements.
I have been retained as an expert witness for toxicology and intellectual property matters involving dietary supplements, herbal products and nutraceuticals.
I know the field (toxicology, safety, business development, patents/trade secrets etc.) dietary supplements well because of my past experiences.
I have extensive experience with various types of cognitive and psychomotor impairment caused by amphetamine.
I have been retained many times as an expert in amphetamine-related automobile accidents and other cases where cognitive and psychomotor impairment related to amphetamine use/exposure was at issue. In fact, I was retained in several truck accidents where drivers were alleged to have been under the influence of amphetamine.
I am uniquely qualified to address the pharmacology, biochemistry and toxicology of biotin which is a vitamin in the B vitamin class.
