My expertise includes industry and government rules, regulations, guidelines, policies procedures and standards; pedestrian / passenger injuries and fatalities by trains, light rail, streetcars, buses, ferries, bicycles, walkways, roadways and terminals; subway, commuter rail, Amtrak, light rail and bus accident investigations and analysis; terminals, railroad-highway grade crossings, same level falls, geometric design, parking facilities, magnetic vehicle loop detectors, parking barriers, vehicle counting, automated, gates, rising bollards, vehicle arrest barriers, steel barriers, parking garage occupancy, traffic regulations and controls. I have over 15 years expert witness experience with consultations, deposition, and courtroom testimony.
Areas of Expertise
Parking facilities are one of my specialty areas. I have worked on parking facility cases and projects in the USA and the Middle East. I also have experience in bridge construction over water and maintenance of the bridges.
My area of expertise is in railroad workplace safety, FELA, OSHA and FRA 49cfr200-299 matters. I have had experiences in dealing with welding accidents.
I have extensive background and experience in dealing with subcontractors from a systems engineering viewpoint with the responsibility to ensure that a comprehensive systems engineering process is followed. This background includes organizational and procurement integration responsibilities. My railroad engineering background includes the various types of signal control systems used in rail transportation, including automated and positive train control.
I am both a para-transit expert and an expert on the American with Disability Act (ADA), Americans with Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines and US Access Board (ADAAG), Architect Barriers Act (ABA), International Building Code, and ANSI A117.1.
I have expert knowledge concerning the vehicle safety recall procedures in the USA.
